JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Assistant Executive Director – HR, performs a variety of administrative and technical duties in support of the Human Resources Department. Prepares and maintains a variety of manual and automated personnel records and files. Performs team member relations duties, providing counsel to team members, at all levels, on TGO Human Resources matters. Facilitates conflict resolution/mediation.
Pay Range: $29.38 per hour
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Extensive training in Human Resource related training and/or courses through college and/or in-house training preferred.
SKILLS:
- Must be able to compose routine business correspondence, i.e., letters, memorandums, reports, etc. (Test required)
- Must be able to type 30 wpm, without errors, proficiently and accurately.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (3) years Human Resource work experience, specifically working with team member relations, policy enforcement, interpreting and advising on personnel policy matters, i.e., discipline, leave and benefits, performance challenges, grievances and appeals, counseling/mediation, sexual harassment/discrimination matters, analyzing and resolving Human Resource challenges. Equivalent years of experience in TGO Leadership positions may be considered in lieu of HR work experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years work related experience using MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel creating business correspondence and reports.
- Minimum of three (3) years guest service/team member relations experience.
- Prior experience working in a gaming environment preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must obtain Tribal Human Resource Professional Certification within one (1) year of hire.
- Must attend/complete mediation and conflict resolution training within one (1) year of hire.
- Must have knowledge of State, Federal, Tribal & Indian Laws in regard to employment and Human Resources.
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality requirements of records and information.
- Tolerance and ability to cope with stress and a fast paced environment.
- Must be flexible to work all gaming sites, the Tulalip Resort Casino, Quil Ceda Creek Casino, and Bingo.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation for a Tribal Gaming License or Permit.
- Must have successful employment history with The Tulalip Tribes or other employers.
