JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for effectively supervising banquet servers, bartenders, and housemen. Demonstrates exceptional guest service to acquire returning clientele, exceed annual revenues, and booking goals. Displays a positive attitude, continually develops relationships with guests and the local community for guaranteed return.
Pay Range: $23.00 - $28.76 per hour
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
- Two (2) years of Business and/or Hospitality courses through an accredited college preferred. Two (2) years work experience as a Banquet Captain may be considered in lieu of college courses.
SKILLS:
- Must have clear and concise communication skills both verbal and written. (Test required)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Banquet Captain.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in high volume banquet and/or catering operation, 4 diamond property preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working with the public utilizing guest service skills.
- Must have prior experience supervising multiple and simultaneous banquet functions or events.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must obtain certification with the National Restaurant Association for SERVSAFE Food Protection Manager Certification within one (1) year from date of hire.
- Must obtain a Snohomish County Health Food Handler’s card within 60 days from date of hire.
- Must be have a Class 12 liquor permit, or able to obtain within 60 days from date of hire.
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).
- Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation for a Tribal Gaming License or Permit.
- Must be available to work any shift assigned to include days, swing, grave, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Must have a successful employment history with Tulalip Tribes and/or other employers.
