JOB SUMMARY:
Facilitates the drug and alcohol testing process by ensuring the testing is conducted fairly and consistently in accordance with current Policies and Procedures and applicable laws. Provides direct supervision to Drug & Alcohol Specialists. Serves in an advisory capacity and as a technical resource concerning Drug & Alcohol policies, procedures, practices, and functions.
Pay Range: $25.91 - $29.15 per hour
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Chemical Dependency Professional certification, preferred.
SKILLS:
- Ability to compose concise and accurate reports, letters, reports, departmental documentation, and spreadsheets. (Test required)
- Ability to type 30 wpm. (Test required)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working with individuals with drug/alcohol addiction in a human or social support setting.
- Minimum of two (2) years working in a Social Service and/or Human Services/Resources setting advising on personnel policy matters, employee relations, and policy enforcement.
- Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience in an office environment and/or medical facility.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience enforcing Tribal, State, and/or Federal policies, procedures, ordinances, and laws.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid State Driver’s License, possess and maintain personal automobile insurance.
- Must have no misuse or abuse of alcohol or other mind-altering drugs for a period of five (5) years prior to employment
- Must have the tolerance and patience to deal with upset, angry, frustrated and/or intoxicated people
- Must be able to tolerate offensive body odors and be able to visually observe a person of the same sex provide a urine sample.
- Obtain training in CPR, Blood Bourne Pathogens, Narcan, and other certifications as requested.
- Must be flexible to work all tribal entities.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation for a Tribal Gaming License or Permit.
- Must be able to work any shift assigned to include days, swing, grave, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call.
- Must have successful employment history with Tulalip Tribes and/or other employers.
