JOB SUMMARY:
Conduct database, design, modification, development, tuning, implementation, security, and maintenance activities in support of the computing development activities. Documents processes and procedures of existing and future TGO database solutions. Ensures compliance of database practices to TGO standards and methodologies inclusive of security, hardware, software, and configuration management.
Pay Range: $51.21 - $57.61 per hour
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Years of equivalent experience, education, and/or training may be considered in lieu of BA degree.
- IT Technical certifications preferred, such as: MCSA, or Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate. Years of experience, education, and/or training may be considered in lieu of certifications.
SKILLS:
- Must have basic math skills. (Test required)
- Ability to proficiently and accurately type 25 wpm. (Test required)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with team members and end users. (Test required)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience with design, development, implementation, maintenance, security and distribution of production databases.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience developing applications, reporting suites, and adhoc reporting objects utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience with administration of production Oracle and SQL databases.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience with PC hardware, software, printers, PC component repair and replacement.
- Minimum of five (5) years working experience with maintaining and troubleshooting devices in a client-server environment.
- Minimum of four (4) years experience with network, application, specialized server and user account management in an Active Directory environment.
- Minimum of four (4) years working with SQL Server Integration Services.
- Minimum of four (4) years experience creating complex functions, formulas, and filters with three or more Business Intelligence Reporting Tools. (Cognos, Access, Crystal Reports, Excel, Hyperion, SQL Reporting Services).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- This position is considered “safety sensitive” and will be required to undergo periodic drug/alcohol testing.
- Thorough knowledge of relational database theory and client server concepts.
- Demonstrated proficiency in application programming and software development.
- Ability to relate and convert highly detailed technical information into short, concise, and understandable terms the customer can understand.
- Must be flexible to work both casino sites, the Tulalip Resort Casino and the Quil Ceda Creek Casino.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation for a Tribal Gaming License or Permit.
- Must have successful employment history with Tulalip Tribes and/or other employers.
