JOB SUMMARY:

Assists with the responsibility of managing all Catering/Conference sales and related marketing functions within the Resort/Casino.

Pay Range: $33.56 per hour

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Two (2) year Degree in Business, Finance, or related field from an accredited college. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to compose routine departmental correspondence i.e., letters, reports, memorandums, speaking fluent English, etc. (Test required)
  • Strong math and analytical skills with emphasis on researching, interpreting, and translating a variety of data, to effectively display the fiscal viability the events you manage. (Test required)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in Catering and/or Conference Services in the Hospitality Industry.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience selling, planning, and negotiating catering and banquet events and/or conferences.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience planning, creating, tracking, and implementing of budgets.
  • Prior Northwest Market Sales preferred.
  • Prior High Volume Sales/banquet experience preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality of all information seen and/or heard.
  • Must travel, as required, to attend events and/or visit clients for business purposes.
  • Must be able to successfully complete either a tribal, state, or federal background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Hotel Permit per Regulation 12 with the Tulalip Gaming Agency.
  • Must be able to work any shift assigned to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or requested.
  • Must have a successful employment history with the Tulalip Tribes and/or other current and past employers.
